Viewing the Aurora Borealis | Alberta Canada
Aurora Borealis also known as the Northern Lights is Earths Natural Lights display that is a rare treat to see usually in the Northerly Latitudes. Now I could sit here and give you the scientific explanation of why they occur but I'm not going to do that; there's Wikipedia for that. So take a road trip to one of the following places and sit back and watch the Night Sky. Viewing the lights depends on how strong the solar storm is. KP5 Storms are usually visible overhead all across Alberta. Take into consideration cloud cover and light pollution, so check...
Livingston West Park | Calgary Playground
Livingston West Park is an Inclusive playground specifically designed for the visually impaired. The playground is located in North West Calgary in the community of Livingston. (Lucas Crescent and Lucas Parade NW) This Playground has it all, from a fantastic tube slide, to a log climbing step wall, a saucer swing and a zipline that was so smooth and even slowed you down. Our 3 year old loved this park and I felt as it was very safe with the rubber bottom. They also have a nice spot right beside the park with picnic tables and a roof to provide...
Strawberry Rhubarb Pie Recipe
One of our favorite ways to use our rhubarb is making pie. Nothing beats homemade warm pie fresh from the oven with a scoop of French Vanilla ice cream. The recipe I will share is one of my families favorites; you can choose to make your own crust however I cheated and bought the frozen pie shells and the Pillsbury pie tops. MAKES 4 LARGE PIES 8 Cups Chopped Rhubarb 3 Cups Chopped...

Hard Luck Canyon is a must see if you are in the Whitecourt area. Hard Luck Canyon is a waterfall fed by a beaver pond when it overflows so it is best to view in spring or after a lot of rain. The Waterfall falls from the cliff side under the bridge and into the Canyon to meet Hard Luck Creek. This place is beautiful and the kids love it. The walk from the parking lot is less than 1 Km round trip and is easy for any skill level and even stroller or wagon friendly. Keep in mind that...
